Help us artists set ourselves apart

Yeah, I, too, have considered deleting my entire gallery from deviantart after being a member for 16+ years on this platform. There's not so much we can do about our art being used as training material but it's moreso the attitude of deviantart towards this problem and the 'jumping on the bandwagon mentality' that leaves a foul taste in my mouth.


But I'm not going to add more fuel to the fire for now after the shitstorm that has been going on yesterday. Instead let me make a constructive suggestion.


What sets us oldschool artists apart from people creating images using AI generators? The creation process! Give us the option to include multiple images in one post so we can show people how our work was handcrafted. Let us complement our artworks with sketches, concept arts, wips or process videos. Artstation can do it, even Instagram does that better than deviantart.


Speaking of. Instagram is where I post more regularly these days. Find me there in case I decide to delete my gallery after all :)

Is browsing still possible?

I want to browse specific topics for certain keywords.


Example: When I open the "resources" topic it doesn't let me search for specific things in this particular topic. Instead I get an infinite random list of all possible resources ever uploaded on DA. What good are brushes from 2005 to me?


If this is not possible yet, how can the site miss such a vital feature? I'm stuck and frustrated. Plz help. Thanks.


PS: Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times - I can't even find help topics around here lol.

Who chooses the nominees?


The nominees are chosen by the three supporters PendragonArts-GEA, Wesley-Souza, and ErikShoemaker from photomanipulations which were submitted on DeviantArt between Sep 1 and Sep 30, 2019.


Who selects the winners?


The three supporters assign points to each nominated artwork. 
In the meantime, the community can vote for their favorite pieces from the nominees. 
The combined score determines which artwork will receive the AMA award of the month.

There is one winner per category and three categories in total. The winning artworks will be revealed in the last week of the month.
